Many fans of the Tomb Raider reboot where left a little stunned when Microsoft announced Rise of the Tomb Raider coming only to the Xbox One. However today, Crystal Dynamics revealed that Holiday 2016 would see a release of the PC version of Rise of the Tomb Raider. While that gives console owners one year to play Rise of the Tomb Raider, it will be worth the wait for PC gamers to wait for the PC version. Crystal Dynamics themselves will head up the PC version of Rise of the Tomb Raider.
If the 2013 release of Tomb Raider on PC is any indication, having Crystal Dynamics handle their own port will be favorable. The 2013 Tomb Raider sold more than one million copies within 48 hours of its release. Holding high review scores on every platform it was released. Microsoft surely felt it was worth spending extra money to secure timed exclusive release for their Xbox One console system.
