Dropsy gets a september 10th release date

Surreal Hugventure Dropsy Goes Retail September 10th

Dropsy made some ripples with its unusual protagonist and art style when the Kickstarter launched in 2013. $25,000 dollars in backer funds and 2 years later, Dropsy finally gets a release date on September 10th. Hey, are you upset that it took so long? HUG IT OUT! That’s how Dropsy rolls, so deal with it.

A new trailer for Dropsy also released today. Not sure if you are interested in playing an open world point-and click hugventure that focuses on the power of love, hugs and hyper-colorful visuals? Dude, wut? Watch this trailer:

Still not convinced? Here’s a description straight from Dropsy’s homepage:

“After a deadly circus fire shatters his world and tarnishes his name, Dropsy the Clown finds himself on a journey of self-discovery through a story that harnesses powerful themes of love and unmerited kindness. With his father gravely ill and the world turning its back on the once celebrated clown, Dropsy will need to help those in need, hug total strangers, and unearth dark secrets on the winding road to redemption. Oh, and Dropsy can also talk to animals.”

Hugs, free agency, self-discovery, non-judgmental exploration of the HUMAN HEART and dialogue options to speak to animal companions all rolled into a unique point-and-click interface? Sounds beautiful to me.
