A new trailer has been released by developer Neocore Games for their upcoming action RPG, Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor — Martyr. You take the role of an Inquisitor, an agent within the Imperium tasked with eliminating heretics within the Empire. There will be three agent classes to choose from, as well as two single player campaigns to chose from. A story driven main campaign, and an open world free form campaign where players stomp out heresy at their own desire. This persistent world will be influenced by the players progress and reputation.
Combat mechanics should be familiar to Van Helsing fans, overwhelming enemies, lots of beautiful explosions, and yes — tons of loot to sift through. This new video goes into further detail on the environment and the role it will play. Environments will be fully destructible, which is important to remember because the cover you hide behind can be chewed up by gunfire and explosions. Hardened steel barriers will take more punishment than an aging stone pillar. Destructible environments can aid or work against those behind them. One thing seems clear, no one place is safe for long. With an impressive physics engine at work, it will be nice to see how far the mayhem can go in Inquisitor.
